"The building of the Municipal Library of Santo Tirso was inaugurated on November 18, 2000, and the architectural project designed by the architects Pedro Mendo and Maria Manuel Oliveira. This equipment belongs to the National Network of Public Reading as a type library bm3. Natural light and schist are the main hallmarks of a building that aims to provide pleasant spaces for those who attend can enjoy all the services with comfort. The Municipal Library consists of two floors. On the 1st floor are located the reception, the lobby, the section of adults and periodicals, the local background file and Dr. Francisco Carvalho Correia room. At level 0 is the audiovisual and multimedia room, the Children's room, the tale room, the studio of expression, collective viewing and the auditorium."
