Foz Côa Municipal Market.
The Foz Côa Municipal Market becomes a significant landmark after an investment of approximately 2.2 million euros by the local Municipality. The market is now made up of five distinct volumes. The largest volume has two floors and is concentrated in the central area of the market. On floor 0, we find the sale of fresh products, while floor 1 houses sanitary facilities and changing rooms for employees. The other four volumes consist of commercial stores that aim to sell regional products to the public, in addition to housing complementary activities. There is also a cafeteria/snack bar service.
The new Vila Nova de Foz Côa Municipal Market received recognition by being named a finalist in the "Espaço" 23 National Architecture Awards, in the Collective Equipment category.
It has innovative zinc solutions for roofs, facades, rainwater drainage systems, accessories and ornaments from VMZINC, solutions that inspire architects to design unique and environmentally friendly buildings. The architectural project was designed by ADVD Atelier, a studio specializing in architecture, design and engineering.
