The Ílhavo Maritime Religiosity Center is a notable museum, being the first center dedicated to maritime religiosity in Portugal. This museum aims to preserve and display a valuable collection of works of art and cultural assets of a religious nature, which illustrate the deep relationship between the islanders and the sea.
The infrastructure is located in the former Ílhavo Volunteer Fire Station, which has been carefully renovated and now occupies a central position in the city of Ílhavo, serving as an extension of the Ílhavo Maritime Museum.
The Maritime Religiosity Center is divided into four permanent exhibitions, each dedicated to a specific theme: Sea and Devotion, Ilhavense Devotion, Ilhavense Faith and Treasure. Additionally, there is an area designated for temporary exhibitions.
The Exporlux luminaires, which incredibly enhance the facade of the Maritime Religiosity Center, creating surprising visual effects with its texture.
