It was one of the first Inns in Portugal, an absolutely innovative concept of small hotels “that didn’t look like hotels”, very welcoming, where guests could feel the true hospitality, the beauty of the Portuguese landscape, the delights of the local gastronomy… “ Rustic comfort, good taste, easy arrangement and taste, friendly simplicity… and poetry, some poetry…”, as its author used to say in 1943.
Casa de São Lourenço takes us on a discovery of Portuguese design through its decorative elements to continue the story started by the Portuguese artist, Maria Keil, 70 years ago.
